Konark Sun Temple

Sun Temple of Konark was Built in the 12th century and is located near Konark, around 35 Km from Puri. King Narasimhadeva is associated with the construction of the temple. Surya, the Hindu Sun God, is honored at this temple. The name Konark comes from the Sanskrit words Kona (corner or angle) and Arka (angle) (the sun). This artwork is displayed on a huge scale in the Konark temple. It contains 24 intricately carved stone wheels with a diameter of over 12 feet, which are pushed by a team of seven horses. All of the conventional aspects of a Hindu temple are included in the temple design, which is laid out in a square format. The temple is built in the traditional Kalinga architectural style. Chandrabhaga Beach

Lingaraj Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. The Lingaraj temple is the largest temple in Bhubaneswar. The temple is constructed in the Deula style, which consists of four parts. There are 50 more shrines in the temple complex, which is surrounded by a massive compound wall. Because of Jagannath’s rising prominence, the temple contains images of Vishnu. The Lingaraja temple is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
